Grey blending is not the same as covering grey. Covering means matching a single shade to the whole head and then chasing the regrowth every four weeks. Blending means weaving the grey into a lighter, softer pattern so that as it grows it just looks like your hair rather than a border.
For most people over fifty this is the better trade. You come in less often, you are not tied to a four week cycle, and the hair takes less chemical load, which matters because grey hair is coarser and more resistant than the hair it replaced.
If you have been doing single process color for years and are tired of the upkeep, this is the conversation to have. Transitioning off permanent color takes planning and usually more than one appointment, but it ends somewhere much easier to live with.

- Will I still have grey showing?
- Yes, and that is the point. The aim is grey that reads as dimension rather than as regrowth. If you want it gone entirely, say so and we will talk about coverage instead.
- How often would I come in?
- Every three to four months for most people, against every four to six weeks for single process coverage.
- I am only in Florida for the season. Can we still do this?
- Yes. Tell me when you leave and we will plan it so you go home at a good point in the grow out rather than partway through a transition.
