Full highlights take the whole head, underneath included. It is the appointment for a real change in brightness, and the one to book if you wear your hair up, because the sections a partial skips are exactly the ones that show.
Foiling gives a cleaner, more uniform lift than hand painting. That is the point of it. The trade is that it grows out with more of a line than balayage does, so plan on coming back sooner.
Time depends on how much hair there is and how far it is going. Long dense hair with a lot of foils takes longer than the number on this page, and I would rather quote you honestly at the consultation than run over on the day.
